Bangladesh has released its official roadmap for Hajj 2027, urging prospective pilgrims to complete registration by September 26, 2026. The Ministry of Religious Affairs published the timeline through its Hajj-1 Branch, setting out a sequence of deadlines that stretches from late 2026 into the following spring.
The roadmap follows a ceremony in Jeddah on May 29, where the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah unveiled the Hajj 2027 schedule and handed it to religious affairs ministers from pilgrim-sending countries. Bangladesh is among the largest, sending tens of thousands of pilgrims each year, so its national calendar is closely watched by travel agents and intending pilgrims alike.
Key Dates in the Roadmap
According to the ministry release, reported by the state news agency BSS on June 8, 2026, the bilateral Hajj agreement between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia will be signed on November 8, 2026. That accord sets the terms under which Bangladeshi pilgrims will travel and be hosted during the season.
The issuance of Hajj visas is scheduled to begin on January 28, 2027. Flight operations will start on April 8, 2027, carrying pilgrims to the kingdom ahead of the rites. The Hajj itself is expected to fall on May 15, 2027, corresponding to 9 Dhul-Hijjah 1448, subject to the sighting of the moon.
Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain, known as Kaikobad, attended the Jeddah programme as an invited guest. Saudi Assistant Minister for Hajj and Umrah Dr Al Hassan bin Yahya Al Manakhrah formally handed over the roadmap to him, the release said.
The Masar Nusuk Timeline
Much of the back-end work for Hajj 2027 will run through Masar Nusuk, the digital platform Saudi Arabia uses to manage agreements, payments and pilgrim data. According to the roadmap, the transfer of Saudi-side expenses to the platform's e-wallet will continue from July 15 to December 24, 2026.
The process of signing agreements for full service packages, covering tents, accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, catering and transportation, will begin on July 29, 2026 and run until January 23, 2027. Pilgrims' information must be uploaded to the Masar Nusuk system between August 14, 2026 and January 28, 2027.
Agreements with the airlines designated to carry Hajj pilgrims, along with the completion of related documentation in Masar Nusuk, will be handled between July 29 and November 8, 2026. The Ministry of Religious Affairs urged all concerned parties to complete Hajj-related activities in line with the announced timeline.
Why Early Registration Matters
The September 26 deadline gives Bangladeshi pilgrims and operators a clear target several months before visas open. Early registration allows authorities to confirm numbers, allocate quotas and lock in accommodation and transport contracts through Masar Nusuk well ahead of the season. It also reduces the risk of last-minute bottlenecks that have affected pilgrimage logistics in the past.
The Bangladesh schedule mirrors a broader pattern across pilgrim-sending nations, with Pakistan, India and Indonesia all opening their own Hajj 2027 processes in recent weeks. Saudi Arabia has pushed countries to begin preparations earlier than usual, part of a wider drive to streamline the pilgrimage and avoid the strain seen in heavier seasons.
Practical Tips for Prospective Pilgrims
Bangladeshi pilgrims planning for Hajj 2027 should register through the official government process well before the September 26 deadline rather than waiting until the final days. Keep national identity documents and a valid passport ready, as these are needed to complete registration and later visa steps.
Intending pilgrims should deal only with licensed agencies and verify that any operator is authorised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. It is wise to budget early, since service packages covering tents, accommodation, catering and transport are finalised through Masar Nusuk months in advance. Finally, follow official ministry announcements for any updates, and remember that the final Hajj date depends on the sighting of the moon.
