Duas

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ. اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِي سَفَرِنَا هَذَا الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَى، وَمِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تَرْضَى، اللَّهُمَّ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا سَفَرَنَا هَذَا وَاطْوِ عَنَّا بُعْدَهُ، اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الْأَهْلِ. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ، وَكَآبَةِ الْمَنْظَرِ، وَسُوءِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ فِي الْمَالِ وَالْأَهْلِ

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Subhanal-ladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrineen, wa inna ila Rabbina la-munqaliboon. Allahumma inna nas'aluka fi safarina hadha al-birra wat-taqwa, wa minal-'amali ma tarda. Allahumma hawwin 'alayna safarana hadha wa-twi 'anna bu'dah. Allahumma anta as-sahibu fis-safari wal-khalifatu fil-ahl. Allahumma inni a'oodhu bika min wa'tha'is-safari wa ka'abatil-mandhari wa soo'il-munqalabi fil-mali wal-ahl.

Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. Glory be to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it [by our efforts]. And indeed, to our Lord we will return. O Allah, we ask You on this journey of ours for righteousness, piety, and deeds that please You. O Allah, ease our journey and shorten its distance for us. O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the Successor over the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of travel, from sights of distress, and from finding ill changes in property and family.

رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

Rabbana taqabbal minna, innaka Anta as-Samee'ul-'Aleem.

Our Lord, accept this from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

Source Quran 2:127

رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُسْلِمَةً لَكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ

Rabbana waj'alna Muslimayni laka wa min dhurriyyatina ummatan Muslimatan laka wa arina manasikana wa tub 'alayna, innaka Anta at-Tawwabur-Raheem.

Our Lord, make us Muslims in submission to You, and from our descendants a Muslim nation in submission to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

Source Quran 2:128

رَبَّنَا إِنِّي أَسْكَنْتُ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ عِنْدَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُمْ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ

Rabbana inni askantu min dhurriyyati bi waadin ghayri dhee zar'in 'inda baytikal-Muharram. Rabbana liyuqeemu as-salata faj'al af'idatan minan-naasi tahwee ilayhim warzuqhum minath-thamaraati la'allahum yashkuroon.

Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them, and provide them with fruits that they may be grateful.

Source Quran 14:37

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ

Rabbij'alni muqeema as-salati wa min dhurriyyati, Rabbana wa taqabbal du'a'.

My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.

Source Quran 14:40

رَبَّنَا وَابْعَثْ فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِنْهُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

Rabbana wab'ath feehim Rasoolan minhum yatloo 'alayhim aayatika wa yu'allimuhumul-Kitaba wal-Hikmata wa yuzakkeehim. Innaka Antal-'Azeezul-Hakeem.

Our Lord, send among them a messenger from themselves who will recite Your verses to them, teach them the Book and wisdom, and purify them. Indeed, You are the Mighty, the Wise.

Source Quran 2:129

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal-wakeel.

Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.

لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ

Labbayk Allahumma labbayk. Labbayk la shareeka laka labbayk. Innal-hamda wan-ni'mata laka wal-mulk. La shareeka lak.

Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Indeed all praise, grace, and sovereignty belong to You. You have no partner.

لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ حَجًّا

Labbayk Allahumma Hajjan.

Here I am, O Allah, for Hajj.

Allahumma inni ureedul-Hajja fa yassirhu li wa taqabbalhu minni.

O Allah, I intend to perform Hajj, so make it easy for me and accept it from me.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، وَالصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي وَافْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ. أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَبِوَجْهِهِ الْكَرِيمِ وَبِسُلْطَانِهِ الْقَدِيمِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

Bismillah, was-salaatu was-salaamu 'ala Rasoolillah. Allahumma-ghfir li dhunoobi waftah li abwaaba rahmatik. A'oodhu billahil-'Adheem, wa bi wajhihil-kareem, wa bi sultaanihil-qadeem, minash-shaytaanir-rajeem.

In the name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, forgive my sins and open for me the doors of Your mercy. I seek refuge in Allah the Almighty, in His noble Face, and in His eternal Power, from the accursed Shaytan.

اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

Allahumma-ftah li abwaba rahmatik.

O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.

Bismillah, Allahu Akbar.

In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest.

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Rabbana aatina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-aakhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhab an-nar.

Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى

Wat-takhidhu min Maqami Ibrahima musalla.

And take, [O believers], from the standing place of Ibrahim a place of prayer.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا وَاسِعًا، وَشِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan wasi'an, wa shifa'an min kulli da'.

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, abundant provision, and a cure from every disease.

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Rabbana aatina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-aakhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhab an-nar.

إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ ۖ أَبْدَأُ بِمَا بَدَأَ اللَّهُ بِهِ

Inna as-Safa wal-Marwata min sha'a'irillah. Abda'u bima bada'Allahu bih.

Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. I begin with what Allah began with.

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ. لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ. لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ، أَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهُ، وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ، وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ

Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. La ilaha illAllahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer. La ilaha illAllahu wahdah, anjaza wa'dah, wa nasara 'abdah, wa hazama al-ahzaba wahdah.

Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things. There is no god but Allah alone. He fulfilled His promise, supported His servant, and defeated the confederates alone.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

La ilaha illAllahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer.

There is no god but Allah, alone, with no partner. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He has power over all things.

لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.

There is no power or strength except with Allah.

آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ

Aayibuna, ta'ibuna, 'abiduna, li-Rabbina hamidun.

Returning, repenting, worshipping, and to our Lord praising.

قَبِلَ اللَّهُ حَجَّكَ، وَغَفَرَ ذَنْبَكَ، وَأَخْلَفَ نَفَقَتَكَ

Qabilallahu hajjak, wa ghafara dhanbak, wa akhlafa nafaqatak.

May Allah accept your Hajj, forgive your sins, and replace what you spent.

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خِيرَةَ خَلْقِ اللَّهِ، صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى آلِكَ وَأَصْحَابِكَ

As-salamu 'alayka ya Rasoolallah, as-salamu 'alayka ya Nabiyyallah, as-salamu 'alayka ya khirata khalqillah. Sallallahu 'alayka wa 'ala aalika wa as-habik.

Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet of Allah. Peace be upon you, O best of Allah's creation. May Allah's blessings be upon you, your family, and your Companions.

As-salamu 'alaykum ahla ad-diyari minal-mu'mineena wal-Muslimeen, wa inna in sha Allahu bikum laahiqoon. Nas'alullaha lana wa lakumul-'aafiyah.

Peace be upon you, O inhabitants of this abode, from among the believers and Muslims. We will, Allah willing, join you. We ask Allah for well-being for us and for you.

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِأَهْلِ بَقِيعِ الْغَرْقَدِ

Allahumma-ghfir li ahli Baqi'il-Gharqad.

O Allah, forgive the people of Baqi al-Gharqad.

سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ ۚ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ

Salamun 'alaykum bima sabartum, fani'ma 'uqba ad-daar.

Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured. Excellent indeed is the final home.

Source Quran 13:24

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ. اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala aali Muhammad, kama sallayta 'ala Ibraheema wa 'ala aali Ibraheem, innaka Hameedun Majeed. Allahumma baarik 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala aali Muhammad, kama baarakta 'ala Ibraheema wa 'ala aali Ibraheem, innaka Hameedun Majeed.

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. O Allah, send peace upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent peace upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

Source Sahih al-Bukhari 6357; Sahih Muslim 408

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي، فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, khalaqtani wa ana 'abduk, wa ana 'ala 'ahdika wa wa'dika ma astata't. A'oodhu bika min sharri ma sana't. Aboo'u laka bi ni'matika 'alayya, wa aboo'u bi dhanbi, faghfir li fa innahu la yaghfiru adh-dhunooba illa anta.

O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I am holding to Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessing upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me - for none forgives sins but You.

Source Sahih al-Bukhari 6306

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ. أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ. أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ. اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ، تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ

Astaghfirullah. Astaghfirullah. Astaghfirullah. Allahumma Anta as-Salam wa minka as-Salam, tabarakta ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikraam.

I seek Allah's forgiveness. I seek Allah's forgiveness. I seek Allah's forgiveness. O Allah, You are Peace and from You is peace. Blessed are You, Possessor of Majesty and Honor.

اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ

Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibadatik.

O Allah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner.

أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ. رَبِّ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَخَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ

Asbahna wa asbahal-mulku lillah, wal-hamdu lillah. La ilaha illAllahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer. Rabbi as'aluka khayra ma fi hadhal-yawmi wa khayra ma ba'dah, wa a'oodhu bika min sharri ma fi hadhal-yawmi wa sharri ma ba'dah.

We have entered the morning and the kingdom belongs to Allah. All praise is to Allah. There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day and the good of what follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil of what follows it.

أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ. رَبِّ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَخَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهَا، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهَا

Amsayna wa amsal-mulku lillah, wal-hamdu lillah. La ilaha illAllahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer. Rabbi as'aluka khayra ma fi hadhihil-laylati wa khayra ma ba'daha, wa a'oodhu bika min sharri ma fi hadhihil-laylati wa sharri ma ba'daha.

We have entered the evening and the kingdom belongs to Allah. All praise is to Allah. There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this night and the good of what follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what follows it.

بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ، فَإِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Bismika Rabbi wada'tu janbi, wa bika arfa'uhu. Fa in amsakta nafsi farhamha, wa in arsaltaha fahfadhha bima tahfadhu bihi 'ibadakas-saliheen.

In Your name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and in Your name I will raise it. If You take my soul, have mercy on it; and if You return it, protect it as You protect Your righteous servants.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi ahyaana ba'da ma amaatana wa ilayhin-nushoor.

All praise is to Allah, who gave us life after taking it from us, and to Him is the resurrection.

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

Ash-hadu an la ilaha illAllahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasooluh.

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik.

O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ

Allahu la ilaha illa huwa al-Hayyul-Qayyoom. La ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm. Lahu ma fis-samawati wa ma fil-ard. Man dha alladhi yashfa'u 'indahu illa bi-idhnih. Ya'lamu ma bayna aydeehim wa ma khalfahum, wa la yuheetoona bi shay'in min 'ilmihi illa bima sha'. Wasi'a kursiyyuhus-samawati wal-ard, wa la ya'oodhuhu hifdhuhuma, wa huwal-'Aliyyul-'Adheem.

Allah - there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
