Bangladesh has published its official roadmap for the 2027 Hajj season, instructing prospective pilgrims to complete their registration by September 26, 2026. According to The Business Standard, the Ministry of Religious Affairs issued the schedule through its Hajj-1 Branch after the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah unveiled the 1448 AH calendar at a ceremony in Jeddah on May 29.
The roadmap sets out a long sequence of deadlines that pilgrims, agencies and airlines must meet over the coming months. It reflects the Kingdom's wider move to lock in arrangements far earlier than in previous years through the Masar Nusuk digital platform.
The Key Dates
According to the ministry release, several milestones anchor the 2027 timeline:
- Registration deadline: Prospective pilgrims must complete registration by September 26, 2026.
- Bilateral agreement: The Hajj agreement between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia is set to be signed on November 8, 2026.
- Service package agreements: Contracts covering tents, accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, catering and transportation through Masar Nusuk run from July 29, 2026 to January 23, 2027.
- Pilgrim data upload: Information must be entered into the Masar Nusuk system between August 14, 2026 and January 28, 2027.
- Visa issuance: Hajj visas will begin to be issued on January 28, 2027.
- Flights: Hajj flight operations are scheduled to start on April 8, 2027.
The release added that Hajj is expected to be observed on May 15, 2027, corresponding to 9 Dhul-Hijjah, subject to the sighting of the moon.
Payments and Airline Contracts
The roadmap also covers the financial and logistical groundwork. According to the ministry, the transfer of Saudi-side expenses to the e-wallet of the Masar Nusuk platform will run from July 15 to December 24, 2026.
Agreements with the airlines designated to carry Hajj pilgrims, along with the completion of related documentation in the Masar Nusuk system, are to be finalized between July 29 and November 8, 2026. The ministry urged all parties to complete their Hajj-related activities in line with the announced schedule.
Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain attended the Jeddah ceremony, where Saudi Assistant Minister for Hajj and Umrah Dr Al Hassan bin Yahya Al Manakhrah formally handed over the roadmap.
Why Early Registration Matters
The compressed timeline places a premium on early action. Pilgrims who miss the September registration window risk losing their place for the season, since downstream steps such as data upload, package contracting and visa issuance all depend on completed registration.
The shift toward Masar Nusuk also means that accommodation, transport and catering are increasingly bundled and confirmed months in advance. This reduces last-minute uncertainty but leaves little room for delay.
Practical Tips for Prospective Pilgrims
Those planning to perform Hajj in 2027 from Bangladesh, or from countries following similar Saudi deadlines, can take several practical steps:
- Register early. Do not wait until the final week of September. Early registration leaves time to correct errors in documents.
- Check passport validity. Ensure passports remain valid well beyond the expected travel dates to avoid disqualification.
- Keep funds ready. With e-wallet transfers and package payments scheduled across the autumn, having funds available on time prevents missed deadlines.
- Work with licensed agencies. Confirm that any agency is approved and operating through the official Masar Nusuk platform.
- Follow official channels. Rely on the religious affairs ministry and Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announcements rather than informal sources.
With the calendar now public, pilgrims have a clear sequence of deadlines to follow. Acting steadily through each stage offers the best chance of a smooth journey to the holy sites in 2027.
